cormega vs nas - battle for the bridge

The Nas/Cormega feud, a classic QB beef between lyricist Nas and thug rapper Cormega. Although Nas has been in other smaller beefs that started off when bringing in street cats (Nature, Quan) in the music industry, none of that beef was as deep as his beef with Mega.

The cause of the beef:a raw deal Mega received from the rap Industry when in the process of being signed to Def Jam. Cormega was replaced by rapper Nature in the formation of the Firm and obviously felt left out by Nas.

Nas wins the battle lyrically and commercially but Mega is just so fierce in his rhymes using his street cred enough to give Nas at least of a few shivers (check Cormega's freestyle 'F Nas'). You gotta give Mega props for this one, his rhyme content and especially flow is better than you're average east-coast rapper, a worthy opponent for Nas.

7 out of 10 I rate this follow up on the Juggaknots's classic 'Clear blue skies'. 'Use Your Confusion' is an allround indie LP with dusty beats, consistent tempo, solid rhyming and nice cuts and sampling.
Breezly Brewin rap style has always been complete and flawless, blending humor and wit in his lyrics, a smooth flow with a voice harsh voiced-rappers like Chino XL or Raskass would dream of.
In his lyrics he often outplays the bubble-gum bling bling thug wanna-be rapperlifstyle and genre, smartly beyonding himself above that category, placing himself has a lyricist breed apart mocking the P Diddy way of rap. His sister Queen Herawin complements nicely on this LP with more guest spots Sadat X and Wordsworth. Go spin this!

Indy UK slowbeat producer duo McFarlane and Clair cause waves with this commercial relaease 'play with changes', sort of a fusion of R&B, Hip Hop and Breakbeat. Hilariously funny this particular scene in the comedy 'There's something about Mary' where Ben Stiller is in combat with the dog of Mary's (Cameron Diaz) roommate. The fight lasts about 3 minutes where Stiller is attacked by the dog who just has been fed multiple doses of amphetamines by Matt Damon's character just to trouble Stiller's date with Mary.
